Basic Kite Surf Course

at Stagnone Lagoon, in Sicily

The first step to becoming a kitesurfer is our basic course. The basic course is suitable for all those who want to learn kitesurfing continuously, without age limits, in complete safety.

During the lessons in the water you will be constantly assisted via radio by one of our qualified instructors who will pass on all the knowledge you need to become a fully autonomous rider.

The course lasts 6 hours and is divided into three teaching steps:


  • Theory, kite settings, first practice flights
  • Body drag, upwind, downwind e self rescue
  • Waterstart

  • Activating the quick release in flight

  • Relaunching the kite from the water
  • Body dragging: sideways with two hands, with power on both sides, upwind, and with the board
  • Self-rescue techniques and folding the kite
  • Understanding right of way and safety rules
  • Mastering the steady-pull technique
  • Water start (with instructor guidance via radio for real-time corrections)
  • Navigating and riding upwind (with instructor guidance via radio)
